SISO is proud to announce the recent publication of two new products: SISO-STD-025.3-2024: Cyber Federation Object Model (FOM) The Cyber DEM [SISO-STD-025-2023] represents cyber events and objects in a format independent of simulation interoperability solutions but is unambiguously translatable to those solutions. It provides the common representation of these cyberspace conditions so they can be transmitted bi-directionally between cyber ranges, cyber simulations, and the test / training environments supported by traditional kinetic simulation. This Cyber FOM [SISO-STD-025.3-2024] is the HLA-specific implementation of the Cyber DEM.
and SISO-GUIDE-011-2024: User’s Guide for Simulation Interoperability Readiness Levels (SIRL) Standard: Assessing Interoperability Risks to the Integration of Distributed SimulationsThe purpose of the SIRL standard is to create a framework for senior decision makers, simulation developers, and simulation integrators to make rapid, quantitative, evidence-based assessments of the feasibility and risk of attempting to integrate simulations prior to committing effort and funds to doing so. This document is the User’s Guide for the SIRL Standard.
Congratulations to Dr. Katherine L. Morse, Chair of both the Cyber DEM PDG and the SIRL PDG, and to the members of the respective PDGs and Drafting Groups, for their accomplishments. Please note that you can access these and all other SISO Products (Standards, Guidance Documents and Reference Products) under the Products tab at www.sisostandards.org.   |
