Membership in SISO is only $95 per year and comes with a range of benefits:

Active Participation

• Only SISO members can be active, voting members of the various working groups (Product Development and Support Groups) which generate new standards and support existing standards. Only SISO members can join Ballot Groups for Standards and Guidance Products.

Access to IEEE Standards maintained by SISO

• SISO Standards are available to all free-of-charge, but only paid SISO members have free access to the IEEE standards maintained by SISO: IEEE Std 1278 — Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS); IEEE Std 1516 — High Level Architecture for M&S (HLA); and IEEE Std 1730 — Distributed Simulation Engineering and Execution Process (DSEEP).

Eligibility to Vote in Elections and Run for Office

• SISO members can vote in SISO elections and run for office in SISO’s leadership committees --- Executive Committee (EXCOM), Standards Activity Committee (SAC), Conference Committee (CC), and Conference Forum Planning and Review Panels (PRPs)
