SISO-REF-081-2024: Electronic Warfare Data Exchange Model (EW DEM) Study Group Final Report
SISO-REF-076-2020: Reference for FEAT PSG Simulation Interoperability Readiness Levels
The purpose of this document is to create a framework for senior decision makers, simulation developers, and simulation integrators to make rapid, quantitative, evidence-based assessments of the feasibility and risk of attempting integrate simulations prior to committing effort and funds to doing so.
SISO-REF-076.1-2020: Reference for FEAT PSG Simulation Interoperability Readiness Levels (SIRL) Heatmap Example, Version 1
The purpose of this document is to provide an example of the application of Simulation Interoperability Readiness Levels.
SISO-REF-075-2021: UCATT FOM Enumerations Table
This Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) Reference product presents the U-FOM specific enumerations supporting the UCATT FOM standard. These are defined in addition to the enumerations used by the RPR-FOM 2.0.
SISO-REF-073-00-2020: Test Plan for UCATT Laser Engagement Interface
In order to allow military users and live simulation vendors to ensure compliance with SISO-STD-016-00-2016, Standard for UCATT Laser Engagement Interface the UCATT PSG has established a test plan. The test plan describes the procedures and necessary testing equipment for compliance to the standard and achieving the “UCATT compliant” stamp.
SISO-REF-072-2024 : Reference for Cyber Modeling & Simulation Study Group, Cyber Data Exchange Model (DEM) Base Objects, Networks, Effects, & Specifications (BONES)
This SISO Reference Product describes the structure and use of the Cyber Data Exchange Model. It is designed to be used with SISO-STD-025-2023.
SISO-REF-067-2017: FEAT User’s Guide Reference for the Federation Engineering Agreements Template
Federation agreements are critical to the successful design, execution, and reuse of federation assets. The Federation Engineering Agreements Template (FEAT) provides a standardized format for recording federation agreements to increase their usability and reuse. The FEAT benefits all developers, managers, and users of distributed simulations by providing an unambiguous format for recording agreements about the design and use of the distributed simulation. The FEAT User’s Guide provides users with an introduction to the structure and use of the FEAT, and illustrates these with examples.
SISO-REF-066-2021: Reference for A Standards Profile for the Use of Modeling and Simulation in Support of Acquisition Activities
This SISO Reference Product provides the descriptions and metadata for each modeling and simulation standard and recommended practice identified in SISO-GUIDE-005-2021: Guide for A Standards Profile for the Use of Modeling and Simulation in Support of Acquisition Activities.
SISO-REF-059-00-2015: Reference for UCATT Ammunition Table
SISO-REF-059-00-2015 defines the type of ammunition used in primarily optical communication of a simulated weapon engagement. The subsequent assessment of the simulated effect on the target is not part of this Ammunition Table and thus it has to be separately defined. The intent is that the ammunition type of a simulated weapon engagement is abstracted from the target simulated effect evaluation; i.e., direct fire optically simulated engagement may be complimented or replaced by another type of communication with the same interface requirements to maintain the coalition interoperability objectives. The UCATT Ammunition Table primarily applies to SISO-STD-016-00-2016, Standard for UCATT Laser Engagement Interface (approved for balloting), describing how to communicate a simulated weapon engagement from a weapon simulator platform to a target simulator platform. SISO-REF-059-00-2015 was approved on 1 September 2015.
SISO-REF-056-2018: SISO Reference for XML Style Guide
This SISO XML Style Guide (XSG) specifies a set of best practices for defining standard information exchange messages, transactions, and documents on a large scale across multiple communities of interest. These reusable components are rendered in XML schema documents as type, element, and attribute definitions that comply with the W3C XML Schema specification. The resulting XML schemas are available to Modeling and Simulation (M&S) practitioners and developers at: http://www.sisostds.org/schemas/.
SISO-REF-039-2013: Reference for Generic Methodology for Verification and Validation to Support Acceptance of Models, Simulations and Data, GM-VV Vol. 3: Reference Manual
SISO-REF-039-2013 is part of a set of three SISO Products describing the generic methodology for verification and validation (GM-VV). Volume 1, SISO-GUIDE-001.1-2012, provides an introduction and an overview of the GM-VV conceptual framework. Volume 2, SISO-GUIDE-001.2-2013, provides details on the implementation framework components, as well as detailed guidance on how to apply these components in conjunction with the tailoring framework to develop concrete V&V solutions. SISO-REF-039-2013 is a reference product that documents the foundations of the GM-VV concepts, their dependencies and rationale, and provides example applications of the methodology.
SISO-REF-017-2006: Simulation Conceptual Modeling (SCM) Study Group Final Report
A simulation conceptual model is an abstraction from either the existing or a notional physical world that serves as a frame of reference for further simulation development by documenting simulation-independent views of important entities and their key actions and interactions. A simulation conceptual model describes what the simulation will represent, the assumptions limiting those representations, and other capabilities needed to satisfy the stakeholder's requirements. It bridges between these requirements, and simulation design
SISO-REF-010-2024: Reference for Enumerations for Simulation Interoperability (v 34)
SISO-REF-010 specifies numerical values and associated definitions for fields that are identified as enumerations in SISO Standards Products and SISO-sponsored standards published by IEEE for High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS). Enumerations for simulations may be applied in other architectures, such as the Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA). SISO Product Data Files associated with this product are included in the above link, but just the PDF is available separately for the enumerations and OPMAN.
